Migration Recovery Rebuild

Astro rebuild, design, and on-site SEO after a broken migration.

What the system needed to solve.

A failed HTML-to-WordPress migration left legacy URLs, content intent, and image assets disconnected from the live site.

The property needed a rebuild that restored on-site structure, technical foundations, and a maintainable publishing system.

How I directed the work.

Mapped legacy URL intent and rebuilt the site as a static Astro project with clearer templates and design.

Implemented on-page and technical SEO across redirects, metadata, internal links, templates, and image handling.

Validated the owned surface against Search Console demand so recovery work stayed tied to site behavior, not external campaigns.

Delivered and owned

What was built, and what I owned.

Measured or shipped

  • Full legacy URL inventory reconciled and validated: no duplicate sources, self-redirects, loops, or route collisions.
  • Site rebuilt on Astro with structured data, canonical control, and an enforced image-weight budget.
  • Automated regression suite added so redirect and template behavior stays verifiable after each change.

Owned surface

  • Astro website architecture and delivery
  • Interface and page design direction
  • On-page SEO structure and templates
  • Technical SEO, redirects, and image systems
